Comments: I really appreciated that they came prepared with a book that listed all their products and the cost per product with labor. So there was no negotiating or feeling like I was being ripped off. They came less than a week after the consultation and I had a new exterior door, storm door and transom window in a day and a half of work with no surprises. Masks were worn when working inside our house. I would hire this company again.

Comments: Their initial estimate went up $150 after job was done - They were not aware of a certain change in an outlet upgrade even though they had seen the job and quoted it.
Your Comments:
The Change in price was due to a bosch washing machine that was a 240 volt machine. I had no way of knowing this beings 98% of all washing machines in the USA are 120 volt. After I installed the electrical connections I went to go plug in the washer and it was abnormally a 240 volt connection. I promptly explained it to the customer and he seemed as surprised as I was. I offered to do it for half the price of my already very fair pricing. that was $150 for a appliance outlet and wiring to a dedicated 30 amp breaker. Total job for two appliance outlets and GFI outlet all dedicated breakers came to $500, Research will show that to be a great de

Comments: The reviews speak for themselves. These guys are the best contractors I have ever dealt with. I am doing a renovation of a duplex and after my first contractor experience decided to do the next apartment myself. It took longer than expected and I need to finish installing doors and a few other items. I hired another contractor to install the doors and he did a horrible job. I was skeptical about hiring someone else but didn't have a choice. Al and Al Sr. came over and were able to redo the poor job that the previous contractor did. Not only were they fast, affordable and conducted themselves like true professionals, but the work was amazingly well done. I plan on finishing the basement, building a garage, and installing a new fence and I will definitely be hiring them for the job. They are the perfect example of a hassle-free contracting service.

Some hiccups came about during the project due to shady workmanship from past contractors but they fixed everything at no additional cost which I appreciated. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Comments: Al and Al Jr. are the epitome of professionalism. After shopping around for a price on an exterior front door installation, we went with Quality Standard. Extremely knowledgeable and what I liked most is the quality of their work (hence the name!) we have an old We hired them to install a front door and screen door. They did a nice job despite installing the front door on the wrong side (ended up with a left-swing instead of the right), which is opposite of my screen door opening. A month later the screen door would not latch when closing. I left a few messages regarding the issue, and they came out to give it an adjustment. Another week or two went by, and again the screen door wouldn't work properly. I left a few more messages, and they came out in early June to adjust the hinges. Now (July 2017) the screen door is once again not working properly, and will not close. I left messages for the past two weeks, and no one has called me back about the issue. I like them as people, they are very nice, knowledgeable, and the pricing is fair, but I've about had it up to my eyebrows with this screen door. Not calling us back to try and find a better solution to the problem is where they failed in my eyes.

Comments: We actually hired them to hang a bunch of doors in our rental property .As well as closet doors and tracks .They did a wonderful job there and meanwhile I had a problem at my home with water coming in my living room from my upstairs powder room. They went from one project to another to help me out.They corrected the issue .I am so pleased with there work they are super nice guys that know what they are doing. I will have them back in the spring to do something's at my home. I have worked with a lot of contractors being in the rental business and they are truly one of a kind ! Comments: My husband and I needed the bathroom of our South Philadelphia home completely gutted and remodeled last year. After consulting a few contractors we decided to hire the father and son team at Quality Standard Remodeling Inc, Al and Al Jr. They were actually recommended by one of my coworkers who had them fix several of his rental properties in South Philadelphia. We liked Al and Al Jr immediately after the first meeting. Throughout the process Al and Al Jr were extremely polite and always punctual. Our bathroom was small but difficult to work with because we needed to change the layout completely and also the plumbing needed to be moved. Al and Al Jr was honest with us in terms of expectations and cost. They even made great recommendations as to where the bathtub and toilet should be relocated to help maximize the space. The outcome was great and they were so right about the ideal location of the bathtub and toilet. We absolutely love our new bathroom! Al and Al Jr even helped us snake a clogged pipe in the basement on a Saturday and hardly charged us for it after the renovation was over! We are so happy we went with Quality Standard Remodeling Inc and will definitely hire them again for future renovations!

They decided to take and use our kitchen paper roll, something (all though small) really annoyed me, they didn't ask or tell me, just did it. Surely they should supply all the things they need to do the job....?

They went and picked the doors up and came to my house & started work immediately. They are courteous gentlemen and they did an excellent job, so far. They cleaned up after the job was done. We're waiting for my security door to arrive and then the job will be complete. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Their work is very professional.

Their price quoted for installation of two basic storm doors (no bells or whistles) wound up being HALF of what Home Depot quoted us for ONE. HD said they needed to do a special order and alter the archway...Al just shook his head and said that wouldn't be necessary. And he was right! Saved me over $500. We were so impressed that we're having him back to do work on the bathroom.

Comments: I hired Al to install a custom wood door. The door needed to be hung and have a mail slot installed. To say that Al butchered the door would be a compliment. The door needed to be trimmed to size to fit the existing opening. There is not one straight cut on the door. In addition, he cut the opening to the mail slot too large and had to glue and screw to get the slot to fit properly. I've never seen so much wood filler used on a job. And after a number of other mistakes, he still charged me his full quote for the job. When I called later to have some weather stripping replaced that he had installed, I never heard back.

Unfortunately this customer tended to exaggerated the events in question. I explained prior to installation it was difficult because of the poor condition of his existing frame. First, there wasn't a strait cut on the door because there wasn't a strait part on the frame in which we had to hang it. The mail box he ordered was an incomplete set with no directions so i had to do it free hand. When the mail box was installed there was absolutely no exposure of the corrected area. He seemed to be very pleased and complementary of the correction at the time. There was no wood filler involved, i used wood glue and a nail gun.

Comments: Al called me right after you sent his company as a referal. He is an unusual contractor. He returns calls, he comes to the house on time, he came to measure with Al Sr and researched where to find the door we talked about. He let me go to look at the door to make sure it was what we wanted. When I gave him the go ahead, he came to install the door in less than a week. Said he would come at 9:30 AM and arrived on time. Job was finished at 1:00PM. Door is mounted it a poured concrete basment wall and he was able to work around the wiring that Verizon had put through the old door frame. My picky son even commented it looked good.

Comments: I needed a new storm door and a new steel door installed in the rear of the property. Al called me to arrange a time to come out and measure the opening. We talked about the job and I was given a written quote with the price and timeline. All the work was completed in one day as was our contract. Al and Al Jr and the assistant were all very nice and cleaned up and hauled away all of the trash from the job. I am extremely happy with this contractor and his good natured way. I even added on an addition of a light out back and Al was able to give me a good price and installed the light! My dog even thought they were awesome. Thanks Guys.

Comments: They do very good work. I had a large slider window installed, did a great clean job, matched the color I wanted. Installation went well, very clean contractor. Came exactly on time, price was very fair. I also wanted the exterior frame out done to add something to the window, they did this very cheaply as an add on and even completed the work the next day. The window is beyond tight and is leak free of moisture and air. I have already recommended them to neighbors.

Comments: I contacted Ricchezza Building Solutions to install front and back exterior doors and an interior entry way door. They responded quickly and came to measure the door openings on a Sunday!, gave me a price and was out on Monday to install the doors. Within 6 hours they finished and cleaned up. They did a wonderful job....the doors look great, I have no drafts and they are pleasant people to work with. They are now our only source of contact should we need future home remodeling done.
